Driving School Improvement Through Data – Alejandra Neyra

The Council of International Schools will share successful initiatives and case studies that encourage the use of objective and contextually appropriate data to drive student learning and strategic decisions in international schools.

Questions:

  • Encourage the use of data in schools to drive student learning. We believe that when objective data are used by international schools systematically, the ultimate beneficiaries are the students and communities they serve.
  • International schools have a wealth of data at their disposal, but often fail in the analysis as this can be a complex and time consuming task. The session presents concrete examples of data driven initiatives that any school can engage to support student learning regardless budget or technological tools.
  • The Council of International Schools collects large volumes of data that now is sharing back with the CIS Community through Power BI. This data can be used to support strategic and programmatic decisions.
