Drone and AI-assisted livestock monitoring – Mikhail Popov, RISE – Research Institutes of Sweden

Fully automated farming can reduce hunger in the world. Automatically keeping track on livestock reduces operational costs and improves productivity of the farm. This talk is about a feasibility study of system components for automated livestock monitoring using drones and artificial intelligence in a field trial in Sweden.

Key Takeaways

  • A exciting feeling of how much we can do already today with drones and AI.
  • What else than cows we can and need to keep track on.
  • How far we are from AI-enabled drones doing better job than humans, the project experience.
