Practical examples on how machine learning can enhance production optimization in wind energy and shipping (oversees cargo transpot) activities will be shown. Examples cover the whole business life-cycle, from planning to O&M. We also will compare the decision making strategy based on machine learning with commonly used practices, based either on historical records or physical-based modeling. Here the pros and cons of machine learning methods application for real-time decision support and production optimization will be addressed.
