In this session, we explore the latest performance innovations in SQL Server 2022, Azure SQL Database, and Azure SQL Managed Instance, as well as what’s new in SQL Server vNext. We’ll dive into key enhancements in the optimizer (including intelligent query processing), locking, the storage engine, availability groups, Query Store, and more. I will share some real-world experiences of the features, from running SQL Server on mission-critical databases.
