The core innovation uses generative AI to segment existing long-form video courses into shorter, adaptive, and highly interactive learning modules, optimizing for mobile and just-in-time learning.
The system incorporates a “human-in-the-loop” model, requiring instructors to review and approve the AI-generated quizzes and content, ensuring quality control. This adaptive content is sequenced based on individual learner progress.
This initiative addresses the growing demand for continuous, bite-sized learning that integrates into daily work. Udemy is also supporting instructors with a $2.5 million Content Innovation Fund to incentivize the adoption of these new, highly engaging learning formats.
