Meta and NVIDIA Launch Multiyear Partnership to Expand Blackwell AI Infrastructure

The American technology companies NVIDIA and Meta have announced a deepening of their long-standing partnership to build massive AI infrastructure aimed at accelerating the development of Meta’s next-generation generative AI models. Central to this collaboration is the deployment of NVIDIA’s latest Blackwell computing platform, including the GB200 NVL72 systems, which provide the immense computational power required for training and inferencing large language models like Llama 3.

To support these efforts, Meta will construct some of the world’s largest AI clusters, utilizing NVIDIA’s Quantum-2 InfiniBand and Spectrum-X Ethernet networking technologies to ensure high-speed data transfer and efficiency across thousands of GPUs. This infrastructure is designed to be highly scalable and energy-efficient, incorporating liquid-cooling solutions to manage the heat generated by the dense Blackwell systems.

By integrating these advanced hardware and software stacks, Meta aims to push the boundaries of AI research and deployment, while NVIDIA continues to solidify its role as the primary engine for hyperscale AI development.
