Kargo, a pioneer in industrial artificial intelligence, has announced a $42 million Series B funding round led by Avenir. The investment, which also saw participation from Hearst Ventures and Linse Capital, comes as Kargo reports a massive 3x revenue growth and the deployment of over 1,000 “AI Towers” across the country.
Kargo’s core technology acts as a “universal interpreter” for logistics. By installing AI-powered sensor towers at warehouse loading docks, the company automates the verification of inbound and outbound freight. Using advanced computer vision, the system scans labels and detects cargo damage in real-time, eliminating the need for manual scanning and reducing human error.
With this new capital, Kargo is moving toward Agentic AI with the launch of “Kargo Intelligence.” This platform uses visual data captured at the dock to autonomously handle back-office tasks such as invoicing, financial reconciliation, and claims disputes. By closing the gap between physical freight and digital records, Kargo is enabling Fortune 500 giants like Mercedes-Benz and Tillamook to transform their loading docks into high-velocity data hubs.
