China has transitioned from AI experimentation to large-scale industrialization, with the country’s core AI industry scale surpassing the 1 trillion yuan (€120.68 billion) milestone this year. This growth is assisted by a significant regulatory breakthrough: the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) confirming that over 700 generative AI models have now completed mandatory filing, doubling the count from just nine months ago.
China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has established a roadmap focused on sovereign data infrastructure and “AI-native” enterprises, aiming to solidify China’s position as a global hub for AI-driven industrial transformation.
