The 11th annual Nordic Data 2030 Summit wrapped up its two-day milestone gathering today at Hotel Birger Jarl in Stockholm. Building on Day 1’s focus on governance and trusted data foundations, Day 2 zeroed in on key leadership imperatives, context-aware architectures, and transitioning from experimental AI use cases to durable enterprise capability.
The conference brought together 280 in-person senior practitioners alongside a global virtual audience on Agorify, exploring how operational AI can be safely integrated into core business execution.
Olof Granberg, AI Strategist & Builder at DataMentor and Chairman of the summit, emphasized the value of peer learning and how the data conversation has evolved.

“I think it’s important to be here to learn from what other people are doing—what their successes and wins are, but also where they have struggled, what hurdles they’ve overcome, and how they’ve overcome them. You don’t have to invent everything yourself. As a recap, 10 to 12 years ago, many of the topics at these types of events were that data is important and we should use data to make more money in our companies. Today, that’s not even a discussion topic. Now, it’s about how we do this and how we do it in the best manner.
This should be a natural part of every company if you want to stay alive.”, stated Granberg for our media outlet.
Day 2 Highlights: Keynotes, Executive Panels & Architectural Mastery
Day 2 opening by Chairman Olof Granberg (AI Strategist & Builder at DataMentor), paved the way for intensive sessions across the summit’s four main stages:
Keynotes & Executive Panel (Plenum Stage)
Samir Sharma (CEO at datazuum) delivered a keynote on “Outputs Aren’t Outcomes: The Millions Hiding in Your Data & AI Portfolio,” followed by an exclusive book signing session.

Siddharth Rajagopal (Field CTO, Data Foundations at Informatica from Salesforce) presented on “Data Informs. Context Empowers. Humans Decide”.

High-Level Executive Panel: industry leaders Ilja Hermans (Philips), Frank J. Kartmann (Vice President Platform Architecture & AI at Deutsche Bank AG), Wouter Mertens (Collibra), and Robert Lecklin (Informatica from Salesforce) discussed strategic levers required to accelerate enterprise AI innovation in 2026.

Closing Keynotes: Ela Osterberger (Director of Experimentation and Measurement at Booking.com) highlighted how decision layers and measurement make AI innovation safe to scale, followed by visionary closing perspectives from Henrik Göthberg (Founder/CEO at Dairdux).

Parallel Track Sessions Across 3 Specialized Stages:
Data Strategy & Governance Stage
Featured deep dives into identity certainty in autonomous AI with Matthew Cawsey (Stibo Systems), trusting data before AI acts with Alex Astrogold (Ericsson), CDO insights on business value with George Linton (Electrolux Group), non-technical data barriers with John Wernfeldt (Northridge Analytics), data practitioner resilience with Vanessa Eriksson (Vanessa Eriksson AB), and institutional capability building with Serge de Gosson de Varennes (Paradox Interactive).

Data Platform, Context & Architecture Stage
Focused on agentic capabilities with MohammadReza Babaee (DeLaval), ontologies and knowledge graphs with Karthikeyan Palanisamy (ASML), platform culture with Audun Fauchald Strand (Nav), PostNord’s YODA data platform journey (Happy Tony & Fayas Yahiya), insight agents with Gunilla Thorén (VW Group Sverige) & Simon Nyberg (Deerdata), and platform governance with Karine Rikheim (Skatteetaten / Norwegian Tax Administration).

Data Products, Data Quality & AI Enablement Stage
Covered data foundation scaling with Patrick Stahl (Norrin Oy) and Mercedes Pantoja (Siemens Healthineers), federated data product trust with Sonja Galkin (Länsförsäkringar), business execution alignment with Ashwani Pandita (Telia), agent-driven data platform design with Robert Sahlin (Supercargo), and group-wide data transformations with Trude Smedsund & Rahul Goyal (DNB).

Daniel Tidström, AI Lead at Codento Sweden, who moderated this stage highlighted why is this conference important to attend at this time.
„There has been a lot of talk on AI readiness the last few years and everyone trying to implement LLMs. So I think hearing what other companies are actually doing, moving from not only data engineering but also context engineering, I think will be inspiring and valuable learnings for all of us here“, notes Tidström for Hyperight.com
Technology in Practice (TIP) Deep Dives
The afternoon featured hands-on demonstration sessions led by solution partners including Collibra, Informatica, Orion Governance, Fivetran + dbt Labs, Nexer / Stibo Systems, Semantic Scout, and a case study by Akademiska Hus and Tieto on reducing environmental impact through space optimization.

Interactive Peer-to-Peer Roundtables
Building Context-Aware Enterprise Data Ecosystems: Leaders explored how semantic layers, active metadata catalogs, interoperability standards, and reusable data products are actively reshaping decision intelligence and agentic workflows across complex enterprise environments.

As the 11th edition comes to a successful close, the organizers share their gratitude to the participating delegates, speakers, panelists, roundtable moderators, event partners and the team.
