Deutsche Telekom and its business customer division, T-Systems, have launched Germany’s first AI factory for industrial applications in Munich. The facility is designed to provide companies with a secure, high-performance infrastructure specifically tailored for developing and scaling industrial artificial intelligence solutions. By offering local sovereign cloud resources combined with Nvidia’s advanced computing architecture, the factory will enable businesses to process sensitive data within German borders while adhering to strict European data protection standards.
Deutsche Telekom emphasized that the factory simplifies the path from pilot project to industrial-grade implementation by providing the necessary hardware, software and consultancy services in a single, unified environment.
The Munich site will serve as a collaborative hub where industry partners can test AI-driven workflows, such as digital twins and automated quality control, before full-scale deployment. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to strengthen Germany’s digital sovereignty and ensure that the manufacturing sector remains competitive in the global shift toward AI-integrated production.
