NTT DATA, a Japanese multinational information technology company, has announced a global initiative to deliver NVIDIA-powered enterprise AI factories aimed at providing a standardized operating model for organizations to scale AI. These factories integrate data, infrastructure, workflows, and governance to create a production-ready environment for enterprise AI. The system is set to utilize NVIDIA AI infrastructure, including GPU-accelerated computing and high-performance networking, along with the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software suite. This software integration will feature NVIDIA NIM microservices and NVIDIA NeMo to support the development and management of agentic AI systems across cloud, data center, and edge environments.
The initiative is designed to assist with the full AI lifecycle, covering model training, inference, and application development, as stated in their announcement. Early applications of this technology include a cancer-research hospital using NVIDIA HGX platforms for radiology analysis and a global automotive supplier utilizing GPU-as-a-Service to reduce production setup times. Additionally, a technology manufacturing company will employ these tools for 3D visualization and simulation to validate battery production lines virtually before physical deployment.
