However, Dalunde points out that while Sweden has three TEFs, the practicalities of international TEF access for SMEs within the EU remain unresolved. SMEs currently need to engage with TEFs in their home country, a requirement that Göthberg views as limiting the potential of these facilities to foster cross-border innovation.
