The micro mobility vertical at Bolt operates ~180 warehouses across Europe with ~800 unique spare parts as part of e-scooter and e-bike maintenance operations. Ensuring a high-service level (i.e spare part availability) while also minimizing inventory cost is one of the oldest problems in Supply Chain. In this talk at the Data Innovation Summit 2023, Abdullah Zia from Bolt Technology explains how Bolt went about solving the problem simply and efficiently using domain expertise and heuristic analytics without having to develop a highly complex solution.
