Accelerating DE&I through use of data – How Grundfos started their journey towards 2025 – Jacob Nielsen, Grundfos

In 2019 Q3 and Q4 Grundfos started laying the cornerstones for the next ambitious DE&I journey. Teaming up with Boston Consulting Group, Grundfos made an internal (quantitative) diagnostic of the last 4 years back in time looking into representation numbers (diversity), and (qualitative) surveying the whole organization. Specific focus groups/miniority groups/priority groups were identified. Also, Equity measures on attrition, promotion and hiring were made going the step further to utilize data. Both internal and external data was used to set benchmarks- decided by the newly established DE&I Council in Grundfos.
