Nokia, the Finnish multinational telecommunications company, and Microsoft, the global technology company, have expanded their partnership to build a unified data platform designed to automate telecom network operations. The solution integrates Nokia Data Suite’s ready-to-use telco data products with Microsoft Fabric’s analytics, governance, and AI platforms.
In their announcement they state that the combined offering blends Nokia’s telco-specific semantic modeling and data quality controls with Microsoft technologies, including OneLake storage, Azure AI Foundry, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 Copilot. Built for multi-vendor, cross-domain environments, it supports on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructures to help operators satisfy regulatory compliance. The architecture powers AI-driven operational assistants that serve as copilots for network engineers, executing complex automated workflows while operating under human oversight and governance.
The companies outlined three initial, commercially available applications focused on improving network reliability and operational efficiency: autonomous Voice over New Radio (VoNR) assurance, geo-experience management for mapping radio access networks, and predictive maintenance.
The joint platform is available immediately, with both companies planning to expand autonomous network use cases and roll out further customer deployments over time.
