Session Outline
In this talk at the Data Innovation Summit 2023, we deal with MLOps principles and practices, lessons learned and the architectural solutions implemented in Trustpilot. Trustpilot is a worldwide business review platform, which processes more than 4 millions reviews each month. Each review can open up new business’ strategies as well as help and driving consumers for the best choice. For these reasons, Trustpilot’s aim is to be the most trustable and transparent platform, being a global symbol of trust.
In the last 3 years Machine Learning (ML) engineers, data scientists and data engineers have joint efforts to bring Trustpilot to have a more robust and consistent use of artificial intelligence (AI) under MLOps principles. From identifying and defining MLOps gaps within the data science journey and listening to business needs, this joint collaboration effort resulted in the creation of a new MLOps infrastructure within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
As a result, the entire ML journey has been drastically improved, easing models prototyping, data retrieval processes and lowering models development and deployment time from months to weeks.
Key Takeaways:
- Infrastructure and data challenges within Trustpilot
- Solutions for companies to tackle MLOps issues
- Lessons learned from setting up MLOps principles in multiple and diverse teams
