As we near the 11th edition of the Data Innovation Summit in Stockholm, the focus for technology leaders has intensified on the structural integrity of the modern enterprise – a necessity when it comes to industrial-scale execution. The Data Platform & Architecture Stage serves as arena for this discussion, moving beyond the surface level of applications to the core systems that make the autonomous enterprise possible. The success of any AI strategy is dictated by the strength of its underlying architecture; here, we connect legacy reliability and high-performance, agentic ecosystems of the future, ensuring that platforms will not be just a repository, but a scalable engine for industrial innovation.
Day 1: May 6th
Goran Cvetanovski, founder of Data Innovation Summit and Hyperight AB will open the event, followed by and opening remarks by Henrik Göthberg (Dairdux). Later in the day, the stage dives into a “Future Outlook” dialogue between Anders Ynnerman (Sferical AI) and Anders Arpteg (Saab Group). Day one centers on the critical intersection of technology and humanity; Andy Cotgreave will challenge the status quo by illustrating why human insight is more vital now than ever, while Maria Wiss (Snowflake) delivers a pragmatic masterclass on how market leaders are extracting tangible business value from AI investments. The session culminates in a deep dive into the next frontier of automation with Stephen Brobst (Ab Initio Software) exploring “Agentic AI,” before a closing keynote from Angelo Rivano (DELL Technologies) wraps up a day designed to move beyond the hype and into the heart of strategic decision-making.
On the first day, the M3 stage will also include some of the following speakers:
- Daniel Tidström – Senior Partner | Data Edge
- Colin A.B. Fernandes – Director of EMEA Market Development & Global Sales Enablement | Acceldata
- Martijn Bauters – Chief Data Officer | NEO Belgium
- Bernard Kavanagh – Principal Solutions Architect | TiDB
- Managing Consultant | Scalefree International & Karsten Kristoffersen – Head of BI | Sparebank1 Sør-Norge
- Robert Børlum-Bach – Head of Data Architecture and Transformation | JP/Politiken Media Group
- Adam Greco – Product Evangelist | Hightouch
- Sebastian Herold – Senior Principal Data Engineer & Timur Yüre – Engineering Manager | Zalando SE
- Joe Arun Mathews – Solution Architect & Robert Ciborowski – QING MDM Solution Manager | Scania CV AB
The stage will be supported by Daniel Tidström as a Moderator and acceldata as a Stage Partner.
Day 2: May 7th
The momentum on Day 2 intensifies as Chairman Henrik Göthberg returns to sharpen the focus on execution and architectural integrity. The morning kicks off with a paradigm shift from Kevin Shin (Samsung Semiconductor Inc.), who explores the critical evolution of cybersecurity from a defensive necessity to a proactive engine for the next industrial revolution. As the structural implications of intelligence become clearer, David Meyer (Databricks) will take the stage to dissect how AI is fundamentally rewriting company dynamics and organizational hierarchies. This deep-dive into the “new corporate playbook” is anchored by a highly anticipated session from industry authority Joe Reis, author of Fundamentals of Data Engineering. In his “Mixed Model Arts” keynote, Reis will challenge traditional conventions to explore the future of data modeling in the age of generative models. Both days of high-octane technical exchange will conclude with Henrik Göthberg’s Closing Remarks, synthesizing the summit’s key takeaways into a clear, actionable vision for the DataOps community.
Day 2 on the M3 stage will include sessions from:
- Daniel Tidström – Senior Partner | Data Edge
- Antti Kajala – CIO | WiseDigi Oy
- Gudrun Anna Atladottir – Leading Data & Analytics Platform Engineering – AI Foundation | Novo Nordisk & Rajesh Ananth – Account Management Senior Director | EPAM
- Åge Ingierd – Head of Digital Transformation & AI | Telenor Norway Consumer
- Thijs Elling – Business Development Manager | SAP
- Reza Abedi – Senior Solution Architect | Data Governance & Architecture | Fortum
- Tim Föckersperger – Account Executive | One Data GmbH
- Geir Myrind – Chief Information Architect | Norwegian Tax Administration
- Anastasiia Stefanska – Senior Data Analyst / Solutions Architect | TUI
This technical and process stage brings enterprise architects, platform owners, and infrastructure leaders together to explore the next generation of data platforms. This year’s focus is on hybrid, mesh, and fabric architectures that enable interoperability, scalability, and AI readiness. Special focus on microservices, composability, modern cloud architectures, open data standards, interoperability, and future-ready data ecosystem strategies.
Industry Day
The Data Innovation Summit (DIS) is upgrading this year with the addition of a third day exclusively focused on Industry Day. This new segment aims to spotlight real-world applications and cross-sector collaboration.
Another novelty this year is the feature of the hands-on Masterclasses from Joe Reis, author of “The Data Engineering Book”, Fundamentals of Data Engineering (O’Reilly), and co-creator of a top data engineering course on Coursera with Andrew Ng. He keynotes at conferences worldwide, hosts a popular podcast and blog, and is currently writing his next book on Mixed Model Arts.
Another thing to focus on is this year’s competitive Hackathon. Keep a close watch on this space as we’ll be dropping a full breakdown and further details in our upcoming articles.
