The data governance journey at the LEGO Group started in late 2021. The company started from scratch as there was concept or framework for data governance and no team in place to drive it. In the last couple of years, the company has moved from development to implementation of a data governance setup that encompasses data beyond just master data as well as adopting data mesh principles.
