Session Outline
Traditionally, the majority of political news has been left to journalists who go through an editorial process, and have standards for truth. In the past, bad actors could write their own political news stories; however, this requires a degree of skill and time spent that makes it hard to replicate at scale. Generative AI changes this: suddenly, bad actors can create authentic looking political articles -factual or otherwise – with ease, and at scale. This session at the Data Innovation Summit 2023 focuses on research and implications of this shift.
