Microsoft has extended the partnership with Cognizant – a multinational information technology consulting and outsourcing company. They have expanded their multi-year strategic partnership to transition global organizations into “Frontier Firms” – a new class of enterprise that embeds AI across every operational layer. This collaboration focuses on co-building and co-selling industry-specific solutions for the financial services, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing sectors.
Technically, the initiative integrates Agentic AI and Microsoft 365 Copilot directly into mission-critical workflows. These solutions are powered by three key intelligence layers.
As part of the agreement, Cognizant is scaling its own AI internal capabilities by deploying 50,000 Microsoft Copilot licenses to its associates. The partnership also involves the deep integration of Cognizant’s proprietary platforms – including TriZetto, Neuro AI, and Skygrade – with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem to modernize software engineering and industry operations at scale.
