The transition from “AI readiness” to “operational impact” is the ultimate benchmark for modern enterprise, and Nordea is leading the charge. Facing formidable competition from a diverse lineup of Nordic heavyweights like Frende Forsikring, Boliden, Lomax A/S, and Laerdal Medical AS, Nordea, a financial services group in the Nordics was awarded the AI-Driven Business Excellence Award (Private Sector) at this year’s DAIR Awards on the Data Innovation Summit.
The expert jury’s decision highlights Nordea’s strategic mastery in seamlessly embedding AI into its core business functions, proving that scaling smart, responsible technology is the true cornerstone of commercial growth in 2026.

About the Platform
Their platform is leveraging best of breed LLMs from Anthropic and fit-for-purpose software products to deliver scalable solutions for all parts of Nordea.
“In 2023 we realised that this is going to be a thing so in the fall of 2023 we set the vision that we need to build something that could be accessible to all the people in Nordea. Started with a vision, piloting, implementation and onboarding. And in 2025 in the spring, we started to bring people to the platform.” said Mattias Fras, Group Head of AI Adoption at Noordea, for Hyperight.com right after stepping off stage.
About the Award
