The AI company OpenAI, has rolled out its GPT-6 models to ChatGPT’s base of over 1.2 billion weekly users, introducing a new capability called Intelligent UI. The feature allows the assistant to dynamically generate interactive components such as diagrams, custom calculators, forms, and maps, directly within conversations using a library of streamable design components and a real-time compiler.
In their announcement they share that the update also changes how the model processes complex queries by interleaving internal reasoning with response generation, reducing initial wait times for users. Additionally, OpenAI updated the model’s safety protections against multi-turn jailbreaking and high-risk misuse while reducing false refusals.
The rollout provides GPT-6 Sol to paid subscribers and GPT-6 Luna to free tier users, applying specifically to the main ChatGPT interface while leaving Codex and workplace models unchanged.
