Siemens and NVIDIA have announced a major expansion of their strategic partnership to develop the world’s first Industrial AI Operating System. The CEOs Roland Busch and Jensen Huang have announced that the platform aims to integrate “Physical AI” across the entire industrial value chain, from semiconductor design to global supply chains.
The collaboration centers on turning digital twins from passive models into “active intelligence” capable of autonomous decision-making. To achieve this, Siemens is integrating NVIDIA’s Omniverse libraries and PhysicsNeMo into its Xcelerator portfolio, while NVIDIA will provide the high-density AI infrastructure and simulation frameworks.
A key milestone for the partnership will be the 2026 launch of the Siemens Electronics Factory in Erlangen, Germany, which will serve as the global blueprint for fully AI-driven, adaptive manufacturing. Major industry players, including Foxconn, PepsiCo, and HD Hyundai, are already evaluating the system to optimize operations and reduce time-to-market.
